This research aims to find out how literacy-oriented Indonesian language courses are taught in higher education in facing the era of globalization. Learning Indonesian language courses in universities must always keep abreast of current developments. Indonesian language courses have a very important role in transferring knowledge, transformation, attitudes and helping students develop interests and talents in the learning process. Apart from that, Indonesian language courses are a tool that can encourage students to always be active in facing the era of globalization, which requires students to be able to master technology. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with descriptive techniques which aims to describe the literacy-oriented learning of Indonesian language courses in higher education. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that learning Indonesian language courses in universities in facing the era of globalization must be contextual, which means that apart from being oriented towards understanding the language and its functions, speaking good and correct Indonesian, students must also be able to master technology and be able to apply it in their lives. real. Literacy-oriented Indonesian language courses require students not only to understand reading, writing and arithmetic, but in the current era of globalization, students are required to be able to master online-based technology and data literacy. Therefore, the success of Indonesian language courses with a literacy perspective will be seen in the products produced by students, namely in the form of scientific work, journalism, or a literary work whose content is related to literacy skills. Indonesian language courses are not just about assignment material but are more focused on language skills, namely aspects of reading, listening, speaking and writing. Therefore, literacy skills in the field of science are abilities that students must master in order to live and thrive in the current era of globalization.
