POLA ASUH ORANGTUA TERHADAP ANAK DARI KELUARGA BROKEN HOME DI MTS ASY- SYAFI’IYAH PINGGIR

This thesis discusses "Parents' parenting styles for children from broken home families at MTs Asy-Syafi'iyah Pinggir". The problem discussed in this thesis is how parents care for children from broken home families at MTs Asy-Syafi'Iyah Pinggir. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of Phenomonology research. This study aims to find out what type of parenting is used by parents from broken home families at MTs Asy-Syafi'Iyah Pinggir. Source of data in this study using primary data and secondary data. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The number of samples is 3 students of MTs Asy-Syafi'Iyah on the edge with the initials GP, KA, MT with a background of divorced and widowed parents, and parents who are intact but busy working. The results of research on GP's initial parenting style used is authoritarian parenting. If the GP violates rules such as smoking and skipping school, parents will punish him. The parenting style used by KA parents is democratic parenting, which is giving freedom but still under the supervision of parents, such as trains being allowed to go out at night but no later than 10 o'clock and if the train is late at night they wait until they come home. Meanwhile, the parenting style used by parents from MT is permissive parenting because parents pay very little attention to their children due to being busy working.
